Grain / YUZOOL APP GUIDE
Grain is a private iPhone journal that shows past entries on the same date, helping you remember ordinary days without a public feed or complicated system.
The default audience is you, not followers or a timeline.
Entries are designed to stay on your iPhone without a Grain account.
Earlier entries can return on the same calendar day.
See the shape of a year instead of only scrolling backwards.
Connect notes around a person, place, project or chapter.
Keep a portable copy of the writing you want to preserve.
A personal journal can hold details that are too small for a milestone and too meaningful to leave to memory. For many people, privacy is part of the reason they write: the entry is for understanding a day, not publishing a version of it. Grain is a private iPhone journal built around brief entries and a quiet archive.
Opening an entry from last year on the same date gives it useful context. What felt ordinary then may be vivid now. Grain resurfaces same-date entries and lets you browse year views and memory threads, so the record can be explored by time and connection rather than only as a long reverse-chronological list.
Privacy is not a substitute for personal judgment about what to record. It is a product boundary: Grain is designed to keep entries on the device instead of asking you to maintain an online profile. A Grainbook export gives you another way to keep or revisit your writing.
Grain may fit people who want a small private diary, same-date memories and an exportable personal archive. If you need a shared family log, encrypted cross-device collaboration or a rich long-form editor, check those requirements against the app before moving important writing into it.
