First-week checklist

Find the main water, power and heating shut-offs. Note the model or serial number for key appliances. Record the next service date you already know. Photograph the label or manual only when it will save future searching. Choose one weekly moment to review what is due.

Keep the record practical

Start with the things that create repeated decisions: the boiler, the water heater, the car, the smoke alarms and any appliance still under warranty. Add the context that makes the next action obvious.
