Privacy Policy
The short version: everything you add to Tend — home records, maintenance logs, inbox notes, reminders — stays on your device. The app has no servers, no account, no analytics, and no tracking. We cannot see your data, and neither can anyone else.

What data the app handles — and where it stays
- Home records and logs. Appliances, vehicles, pets, subscriptions, maintenance events, costs, and due dates are stored in the app's local database on your device only. They are never uploaded to our servers (we have none).
- Inbox notes. Anything you capture — typed or by voice — is stored locally. Voice notes are transcribed on-device using Apple's speech recognition framework; audio is never sent anywhere.
- Reminders. Due-date notifications are scheduled through Apple's local notification system on your device. No reminder data leaves your phone.
- Household sync (iCloud). If you enable household sharing, data is synced via Apple's CloudKit private database directly between your devices under your own Apple ID. Apple's servers relay the data; we never have access to it. This is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
- Backups. If you use iCloud or encrypted device backups, Apple may include the app's local data in your backup under your own Apple account, governed by Apple's privacy policy.
What we collect
Nothing. The app contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We do not collect, sell, or share any personal data. The "data collected: none" label on the App Store listing is accurate.
On-device AI
Tend uses on-device intelligence to suggest how to file inbox items. Processing happens entirely on your device; no text or data is sent to any AI service or API.
Purchases
Any optional in-app purchases are processed entirely by the App Store. Apple handles the payment and shares no payment details with us. Apple's privacy policy applies to the transaction.
Support email
If you email us for support, we see your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply, and we don't add you to any list.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Because the app collects nothing, changes are unlikely to be substantive.
