How to use it
Type a number in the top box and the answer appears in the bottom one as you type; type in the bottom box to go the other way. The round button swaps the units, the unit names open every other unit, and the Every unit list shows the same amount in all of them. Sums work in the boxes too. Pick the ingredient under the converter: flour, sugar, butter, milk, honey, rice, oats and more. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.

Questions
How many grams is 1 cup of sugar?
1 cup of sugar is about 200 grams.
Why does a cup of flour weigh less than a cup of sugar?
Flour is light and airy, sugar is dense, so the same cup holds a different weight. That is why Figure asks which ingredient you are measuring.
How are the cups measured?
Spooned into the cup and levelled, not packed, except brown sugar, which is packed. Weighing on scales is always more exact.
