COMPARISON / RANK VS MOZ

Rank or Moz for a weekly SEO review?

Both can support SEO work, but they answer different questions. Moz is a broad platform for research, links and competitive analysis. Rank is a small, local-first Mac workflow for deciding what to do with the evidence your own site is already generating.

Choose based on the decision

Why first-party data is a useful starting point

Your own Search Console data shows what Google already understands about your site. A page with impressions but weak CTR may need a clearer result snippet; a page sitting just outside page one may need better coverage or internal links. Those are concrete editorial decisions, not just scores to monitor.

A lightweight weekly workflow

  1. Open the property and compare a recent period with the previous one.
  2. Review pages with high impressions, falling clicks or positions near page one.
  3. Group queries by intent and choose one change.
  4. Record the edit and check again after enough data accumulates.
