Hold Frame is made by Michael Frankland (Yuzool). It does not require an account and contains no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs.

Your stories stay on your device

Progress, collected clues, story decisions, discovered endings and preferences are stored locally in the app. A local diagnostic log records story interactions; it is not uploaded to Yuzool. We do not operate a server that receives your gameplay, notes or device identifiers. Removing the app removes its local data, subject to any backups you maintain through Apple.

Purchases

Apple handles payments and purchase verification. Hold Frame checks verified entitlements to unlock purchased stories. Yuzool does not receive payment-card details. App Store purchases and any Apple backup or diagnostic services are governed by Apple's privacy terms.

Motion and permissions

The app uses on-device motion data for subtle scene parallax. This data is not saved or transmitted. You can disable atmosphere effects in the app, or use Reduce Motion in iOS. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts or location.

Beta testing and support

If you use TestFlight, Apple may provide crash information and feedback under its TestFlight privacy terms. If you email support, we receive the message and information you choose to include. Please avoid including sensitive information in screenshots or feedback.

This website

These Hold Frame pages do not load analytics scripts or set advertising cookies. Hosting providers may process standard request information to deliver the pages.
