Plan a roll, not a shot list
Choose a stock before you leave, then give the roll a loose theme: the route between places, the people you meet, the tiny details you normally crop out. Avoid making the exercise another travel checklist. The point is to notice more, not to turn every moment into content.
What the delayed contact sheet changes
Instead of opening each frame to judge it immediately, take the picture and continue exploring. Once the roll is complete, develop the contact sheet and look at the journey as a sequence. A missed focus or unexpected frame is part of that sequence; it can be a more honest memory than a carefully selected highlight reel.
