About Block Pages
Block Pages is a free block editor for notes, wikis and simple databases. Type / for headings, to-dos, toggles, callouts, code, tables, equations and nested pages, drag blocks to reorder them, and link pages with @ mentions.
Start from templates, use the ⌘K search across every page, and share any page as a read-only link. It runs entirely in your browser.
Is Block Pages free, and do I need an account?
Yes. Pages, blocks, templates, table and list views, publish links, backups and exports are free, with no ads and no sign-up. Everything you write is saved in this browser only, with no server and no account. Block Pages Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($3.99) that adds board, calendar and gallery database views and page history.
How do I keep my pages safe?
Open Settings and choose Back up to save every page, database and image to a JSON file. Restore brings a backup back on any device, and Export everything saves all pages as one Markdown file.
How do publish links work?
Share & publish packs the page into the link itself, so nothing is uploaded. Anyone with the link sees a read-only copy and can duplicate it into their own workspace. Large uploaded images may be left out to keep the link short.
What can databases do?
Type /database to add one with a table or list view. Each one can have several views with filters, sorts and grouping, and every row opens as its own page. Block Pages Pro adds board, calendar and gallery views.
Can I export a page?
Yes. Any page can be downloaded as Markdown or HTML, or printed to PDF from the page menu.
