About Clip Cut
Clip Cut is a free video editor that runs in your browser. Add videos and photos, trim and split them on a zoomable timeline, reorder clips, and add animated text, stickers, filters, transitions and beat-synced music. Export a vertical 9:16, 4:5, square or 16:9 video. Clip Cut Pro, an optional one-time upgrade, adds 1080p/60 fps export, voiceover, Ken Burns motion and every template.
Templates for photo dumps and day-in-my-life edits give you the cuts and timing; you drop in your own media.
Is Clip Cut free?
Yes. Editing, text, stickers, filters, transitions, beats, three templates and 720p export are free, with no ads and no sign-up. Free exports end with a short “Made with Clip Cut” card. Clip Cut Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($4.99) that adds 1080p and 60 fps export with no end card, voiceover, Ken Burns motion and every template.
Are my videos uploaded anywhere?
No. Clips are edited and exported on your device, and projects are stored in this browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no sign-up.
What file does the export make?
An MP4 (H.264) where your browser can record one, otherwise WebM, at 720p with a short end card (free) or 1080p and up to 60 fps with no end card with Clip Cut Pro. The browser records the edit as it plays, so a 20 second video takes about 20 seconds to export.
What is a template link?
A link that carries your cuts, timing, text, stickers, filters and beat. Your media is not included: whoever opens it drops in their own photos and videos.
How do I back up my projects?
Open Settings and choose Back up projects. The file holds your edits; media stays on this device, and any missing media becomes placeholders you can replace.
Everything is edited and exported on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
