About Light Lab
Light Lab is a free photo editor that runs entirely in your browser. Adjust light and colour in real time, shape tones with curves, apply film-style looks, and export at full resolution. It works offline once loaded and needs no account. Light Lab Pro, an optional one-time upgrade, adds masks, spot healing, batch export and all 38 looks.
Is Light Lab free?
Yes. Every adjustment, crop, 10 film looks, saving your own looks and full-resolution export are free, with no ads and no account. Light Lab Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($4.99) that adds gradient and radial masks, spot healing, batch export, all 38 looks and the before/after video.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Light Lab edits photos on your device using your browser's graphics engine. Nothing is uploaded, and exports carry no camera or location metadata.
What can I adjust?
Exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, white balance, a tone curve, per-colour hue, saturation and luminance, colour grading, clarity, dehaze, grain, vignette and crop, all free. Light Lab Pro adds gradient and radial masks and spot removal.
What are looks?
Looks are film-style presets such as Harbor 160 and Golden 400. Apply one with adjustable strength, save your own edits as a look, or share a look as a link. 10 looks are free; Light Lab Pro unlocks all 38 and lets you batch-apply a look to up to 30 photos.
What export options are there?
Full-resolution JPEG or PNG and a before and after card, free. Light Lab Pro adds a five-second before to after wipe video sized for Stories and Reels where the browser supports recording.
Light Lab works offline once loaded. Exports carry no camera or location data.
