Strikethrough text adds a combining stroke after every character, so the line travels with your words: N̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶o̶d̶a̶y̶. The stroke runs through spaces too, for a solid line across a phrase. Slashed (N̸o̸p̸e̸) crosses each letter on its own.
Yes: ~~two tildes~~ on Discord and ~one tilde~ on WhatsApp make real strikethrough in messages. Use this where that formatting is not available, such as names, bios and most social posts.
Each letter carries its own stroke, so how neatly they join depends on the font. On most phones the line looks continuous; on some it shows small gaps.
Everything is in the full Fancy Text app: over 100 styles, symbols and a bio preview, all on your device. Styling a profile? Read How to change the font in your Instagram bio.
