Discount calculator
Work out a sale price and how much you save, including stacked offers (20% off, then an extra 10%) and sales tax.
Good to know
Stacked discounts are taken one after the other, so 20% off and then 10% off is 28% off in total, not 30%.

How to use it
Type the price and the percentage off. Add an extra percentage for a second offer, and sales tax if it is added at the till. The page opens with 25% off 80.00: you pay 60.00 and save 20.00. Sums are done in exact decimals (0.1 + 0.2 is 0.3) and shown in your own currency. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account.
Good for:
- Sales, vouchers and promo codes
- Comparing two offers
- Checking the price at the till
- Working out a price before sales tax
Questions
How do I work out a discount?
Multiply the price by (100 − the percentage off) and divide by 100: 25% off 80 is 80 × 75 ÷ 100 = 60.
Is 20% off then 10% off the same as 30% off?
No. The second discount is taken from the already reduced price, so it comes to 28% off in total.
