=SUM(B3:B11)gives $17,800.00. SUM: adds the numbers. - B13:
=B1-B12gives $200.00.
Tips
- Most couples keep 5 to 10% of the budget unallocated for the costs nobody plans for.
- Record deposits in Paid as you pay them, so To pay is always the money you still need.
- The pie chart updates as you change the budget column.
Questions
What should a wedding budget include?
The usual lines are the venue, food and drink, photographer, outfits, flowers, music, cake, rings and stationery. Add rows for transport, hair and make-up, favours or a honeymoon if you need them.
How do I see what’s left to pay?
The To pay column is Budget minus Paid on each line, and its total is in the Total row. Left in the budget shows what isn’t allocated yet.
Can I open it in Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes: in Gridwork, More then Save as Excel (.xlsx) keeps the formulas. It’s free, with no account, and the file stays on your device until you save it.
