About Mood Pixels

Mood Pixels is a private micro mood diary. Pick one of five moods with a tap, add the activities you did and an optional note or photo, and the app builds a mood calendar, charts, streaks, weekly goals and a full Year in Pixels grid. Stats show which activities tend to go with your better days.

Everything is stored on your device. There is no account, and you can back up to a file, export CSV or lock the diary with a PIN.

Is my mood diary private?

Yes. Entries are saved in your browser's local storage and are never uploaded. An optional 4-digit PIN lock is hashed on your device.

Do I need an account?

No. Mood Pixels is free and works without sign-up. Use the backup button in More to save a file you can restore on another device.

What is a Year in Pixels?

A grid with one square per day of the year, coloured by that day's average mood, so you can see good and hard stretches at a glance. You can share it as an image.

Can I export my entries?

Yes. Export a CSV of dates, moods, activities and notes, or a JSON backup of the whole diary.

Is Mood Pixels free?

Yes. Logging, the mood calendar, charts, stats, streaks and your Year in Pixels are free, with no ads and no account. Mood Pixels Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($2.99) that adds patterns explained in plain words, a mood forecast and a monthly letter.
