Privacy and product policies in plain language.

Scope

Yuzool is an independent app studio operated by Michael Frankland. This page applies to yuzool.com and the Mac and iPhone apps published by Yuzool. A product-specific privacy page or storefront term takes priority where it gives more precise information.

Website privacy

You can browse the public website without creating a Yuzool account. The website uses normal hosting infrastructure and Tinylytics to measure aggregate visits and selected button clicks. If you email support, Yuzool receives the address, message and attachments you choose to send and uses them to respond and maintain support records.

Yuzool does not sell personal information or build advertising profiles from app or website activity.

App data and integrations

Yuzool favours local-first storage, but behaviour differs by product. An app may store settings, documents, credentials or purchase state on your device. Credentials described as being stored in Keychain remain subject to Apple’s platform security and your device configuration.

When you connect an external service such as Google, Stripe, Polar, Gumroad, Lemon Squeezy or App Store Connect, data is exchanged only as required for the feature you initiate. The external provider’s own privacy policy also applies. Review the relevant app page before connecting sensitive business data.

LevelUP stores quiz progress, favourites, settings and purchase unlock state locally on the device. Its purchases are processed through Apple StoreKit.

Google data in Suzume for iOS

Data accessed. When you choose Gmail sign-in, Suzume for iOS uses Google OAuth and requests the https://mail.google.com/ scope. This permits the app to connect to your mailbox and perform mail actions. Suzume accesses your Gmail address and, as needed for the features you use, message headers and content (sender and recipient addresses, subject, date and body), labels and folder information, and attachment details or contents that you open or download. Suzume does not request Google Drive, Calendar or Contacts scopes.

Data use. Suzume uses this information to display, search and organize your mail, show attachments, and perform actions you request, such as replying, sending, starring, archiving or moving a message to Trash. Conversation digests, reply suggestions and Smart Search interpretation run on the iPhone using Apple Foundation Models when available, or local rules and templates. Gmail data is not used to train or improve generalized AI or machine-learning models.

Data sharing. Yuzool does not receive or store Gmail message content on Yuzool servers. Suzume does not sell or share Google user data with advertisers, analytics providers or third-party AI services. OAuth authorization and token requests go directly to Google; mailbox access and sending go directly between your device and Gmail over encrypted connections. Messages you send are delivered to the recipients you choose through your mail provider. Google's own handling is governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.

Data storage and protection. The Gmail OAuth refresh token and the message-cache encryption key are stored in the iOS Keychain. Message data retained for offline access is encrypted using AES-GCM and stored in Suzume's private on-device app storage. Account settings and discovered-folder preferences are stored locally. Attachments are downloaded to the iPhone when requested and may be held in temporary app files for preview. Device protection and backup behavior depend on your iOS and Apple account settings.

Retention and deletion. Suzume keeps its encrypted message cache on your device while the account remains configured. Removing an account in Settings clears that account's cached messages and saved credential; the in-app remove action is available when more than one account is configured. Temporary attachment files are managed by iOS. Mail remaining in Gmail stays in your Google account until you delete it there. You can revoke Suzume's access in your Google Account connections. To request help clearing local Suzume data or to ask a privacy question, email support@yuzool.com. Yuzool has no server-side copy of Gmail messages to retrieve or delete and cannot remotely erase data from your device or Google account.

Red Door: Phone Mystery for iPhone

What stays on your iPhone. Your case progress, notes, Case Board entries, and any photos you attach to a field tasking are stored on your device. Red Door has no account system and Yuzool does not receive this data. Photos are checked on the device with Apple's Vision framework and are not uploaded.

Optional field context. This is off until you turn it on, and the game works fully without it. If you turn it on, the app asks for two separate permissions. Location (While Using) is used once, in memory, to ask Apple Maps (MapKit) which kinds of place are nearby and to work out the daylight at that moment. That lookup is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy terms; the app does not store your coordinates and does not send them to Yuzool. Motion & Fitness is used to read the walking distance your iPhone already recorded while you worked on a tasking. The only things kept in your case file are short phrases and numbers, such as "a cafe", "18 minutes after sunset" or "1.2 km". You can switch this off in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.

Notifications. Reminders, including a one-time reminder for a tasking written for a certain time of day, are scheduled locally on your iPhone. Nothing is sent to a server.

Purchases and tracking. Case files are one-time purchases processed by Apple StoreKit; restoring them uses your Apple Account. Red Door contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Purchases, downloads and refunds

Purchases may be processed by Apple, Stripe or Polar. Those providers handle payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. Yuzool does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.

Receipts, refunds, taxes, redownloads and purchase-history access are governed by the storefront used for the purchase. Polar customers can request access through the Yuzool Polar portal. For direct purchase help, email support@yuzool.com.

Software licence

A purchase grants the right to use the software under the licence and storefront terms supplied with that product. It does not transfer ownership of the app, source code, branding or associated intellectual property. Do not redistribute paid app files, licence access or purchase credentials without written permission.

Update availability and supported operating-system versions can change as Apple platforms and external services evolve. Any product-specific promise made at purchase remains subject to applicable consumer law.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Yuzool products for illegal, abusive, deceptive or privacy-invasive activity.
• Do not attempt to bypass licensing, payment checks, service limits or security controls.
• Do not use outreach features for purchased lists, harassment or unlawful unsolicited messaging.
• Do not upload or connect information you do not have permission to process.
• Do not impersonate Yuzool or redistribute Yuzool products as your own.

These policies may be updated when products, providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material product-specific changes will be reflected on the relevant app or support page where practical.
