Chat-Style Threads
Every conversation renders as a clean bubble view. Read the whole thread at a glance. Hit ⌘↩ to send. No walls of quoted text.
Suzume Mail reimagines email as conversation. Instead of walls of text, every thread feels like iMessage: fast to read, fast to reply, genuinely calm.
Built entirely in Swift for macOS. Not Electron. Not a browser wrapper. A native app that belongs on your Mac.
Why Suzume
Most email apps look exactly like they did in 1997: a flat list of text walls. Suzume treats every thread as a conversation. Messages stack as bubbles, incoming on the left and yours on the right, so you always have full context without hunting through quoted text.
It is built for people who want to get through their inbox fast, reply well, and move on with their day.
Features
Every conversation renders as a clean bubble view. Read the whole thread at a glance. Hit ⌘↩ to send. No walls of quoted text.
Remote images are blocked before they load. Tracking pixels, the invisible 1×1 images senders use to log when you read their mail, are caught automatically and flagged with an amber warning. You decide if you ever want to load the original.
On-device AI summarises long threads and suggests short replies. No API key. No cloud. Nothing leaves your Mac.
A 10-second window after every send lets you cancel and get your message back before it goes anywhere.
Mark a thread as waiting for reply. Set a reminder for 2 days, 1 week, or a custom date. Suzume notifies you if nothing comes back.
Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, Fastmail, ProtonMail (via Bridge), or any standard IMAP/SMTP provider. Multiple accounts, switchable from the sidebar.
Search extends automatically to your mail server, not just what is cached locally. Results merge instantly so nothing gets missed.
Compose and reply without a signature cluttering your view. Your signature is appended silently at send time. Undo Send, Cc/Bcc, rich text, attachments: everything you need, nothing you do not.
Archive (E), trash (⌫), next message (J/K), compose (N), search (⌘F). Navigate your entire inbox without touching the mouse.
One Price. No Subscription.
No tiers, no monthly charges, no features locked behind an upgrade wall. Suzume costs less than two months of the competition.
