Privacy Policy
The short version: Palm runs on your Mac. Your ideas, projects and generated apps stay on your Mac, and the AI runs locally. We have no accounts, no analytics inside Palm, and we never see your projects. Palm only contacts a service when you connect it, and only to do the thing you asked.
Who we are
Palm is built and operated by Michael Frankland (Yuzool), an independent developer. Contact: support@yuzool.com.
What stays on your Mac
- Projects, prompts and generated code. Stored in your Documents folder and Palm's Application Support folder. We never receive them.
- AI processing. Palm uses Apple Intelligence or a model running locally through Ollama. Your prompts are not sent to us or to any AI provider.
- Credentials. API keys, SMTP passwords and tokens are stored in your Mac's Keychain, never in plain files.
- Crash logs. Written locally to Palm's Application Support folder. They are never uploaded automatically.
When Palm connects to the internet
Palm contacts a third party only when you use the feature that needs it:
- Apple (iTunes Lookup, App Store Connect) to import a listing, read ratings, or manage your app, using your own App Store Connect key.
- Polar to validate your Palm license and, if you connect it, read your own sales figures.
- GitHub, Netlify, Buffer, Typefully, email (SMTP) only if you connect them, to publish or send content you approved.
- Web search and page fetches for competitor and keyword research you start.
- Ollama to download a model when you choose to install one.
Those services have their own privacy policies. Palm never sends an email, post or publish without your explicit confirmation.
Apps built with Palm
By default, an app Palm generates stores its data on the user's device with SwiftData, has no accounts or servers, and contains no analytics or advertising. If you add features such as push notifications, location, camera, maps or a paywall, the app uses the matching Apple frameworks and the permissions you see in its settings. You are the publisher of any app you ship, so you are responsible for a privacy policy that matches what your finished app does. The policy on this page describes the default behaviour of an unmodified Palm-generated app.
Children
Palm is a developer tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
