Short boxing workouts

A shadowboxing workout for the days when you only have ten minutes

You do not need a long session to practise well. Use a few focused rounds, keep the movements controlled and finish before the workout becomes another obligation.

Safety first: clear the space around you, warm up gradually and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or unusual shortness of breath.

The ten-minute structure

Spend one minute moving easily, then complete three two-minute rounds with thirty seconds of rest. Leave the final two minutes for a slow cool-down and a quick note about what you want to improve next time.

Round 1 · clean basics

Practise a relaxed jab and cross. Return to guard after every punch instead of rushing for volume.

Round 2 · feet first

Step forward, back and to the side while keeping your stance usable. Small steps are enough.

Round 3 · one combination

Choose one short combination and repeat it with a reset between each attempt.

Finish · remember one cue

Write down one cue for the next session: softer shoulders, better balance or a quicker return.

Why short sessions work

A short session has a clear edge: it is easier to repeat. ShadowCoach adds structure and camera-based cues so the workout is not just a timer with random punches. The aim is a small practice habit that can survive a busy week.
