Short version: compare Splittr if you mainly need an expense-splitting tool for a holiday group and value its published offline, multi-currency and no-registration claims. Compare Troupe if you also need the itinerary, bookings, packing list and travel documents in the same shared trip.
Check current availability before choosing
Splittr’s official website currently describes expense tracking for trips and groups, including offline entry, syncing with friends, no registration, multiple currencies, categories, PDF/CSV export and smart settle-up. Its English landing page says a brand-new iOS and Android app is in the works, while its German beta/roadmap page reports an iOS update was live in June 2026 and Android was returning in July. Because rollout can differ by store and country, verify the live listing for your device before relying on a specific feature or price. The official landing page did not show a current price when checked.
Troupe’s current US App Store listing describes a full group-trip workflow: itinerary, booking capture, expenses, balances, packing, documents and offline access to saved details. It uses iCloud collaboration and says invitees can work with the organizer without each paying for Pro. A free trip supports up to four people; the US listing showed $3.99 monthly or $29.99 lifetime for Pro.

Where Splittr is the more focused choice
- You already have the itinerary handled and just need to keep shared spending fair.
- Offline expense entry, uneven splits, exports or simplifying repayments are the key requirements.
- You want a dedicated tool for expenses rather than a broader trip workspace.
Where Troupe may fit better
- Bookings, schedule, costs, packing and documents are currently scattered across chat, email and notes.
- You want expenses attached to the activity or booking they relate to.
- The group benefits from a single organizer maintaining a shared plan while invitees collaborate without individual Pro purchases.
Pricing and source links
Prices and product availability are especially important to verify here because Splittr’s site describes a rollout in progress and does not publish a universal current price. Troupe’s price below is the US App Store snapshot checked September 12, 2026.
