Instagram fonts

Fonts for your Instagram bio, name and captions, with a profile preview. Free, and nothing leaves your device.

How Instagram fonts work

Instagram has no font setting for your bio, name or captions. These styles use look-alike Unicode letters instead, such as 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓻 𝓝𝓪𝓶𝓮 or ʏᴏᴜʀ ɴᴀᴍᴇ, so they show up when you paste them. The Preview tab shows your line in a mock profile first.

How to use it

  1. Type your text in the box at the top. Until you do, the styles show “Your Name”.
  2. Styles that suit a profile come first. Tap one to copy it; styles marked PRO are part of Fancy Text Pro.
  3. In Instagram, go to your profile, tap Edit profile, then paste into Bio or Name and save.

Questions

Can I change the font of my Instagram username?

No. Usernames only allow letters, numbers, full stops and underscores. Your name, bio, captions and comments can use these styles.

Why does my styled bio show boxes on some phones?

Older phones can lack those characters. Bold, italic, cursive and small caps are the safest; styles marked "may show boxes" are the riskiest.

Can I change the font in Instagram Stories?

Stories and Reels have their own text styles built in. These fonts are for the places that have none: your bio, name, captions and comments.
