How cursive text works

Cursive text here is not a font. It uses the script letters in Unicode (𝒞𝓊𝓇𝓈𝒾𝓋ℯ), the standard every phone and computer uses for text, so it stays cursive wherever you paste it: Instagram and TikTok bios, Discord, messages and documents. Bold cursive (𝓒𝓾𝓻𝓼𝓲𝓿𝓮) is the heavier version and usually reads better on a small screen.

How to use it

  1. Type your text in the box at the top. Until you do, the styles show “Your name here”.
  2. The cursive styles come first. Tap one to copy it; styles marked PRO are part of Fancy Text Pro.
  3. Paste it wherever you like: a bio, a caption, a comment or a message.

Questions

Why do a few cursive letters look slightly different?

Unicode added some script letters, such as ℬ, ℰ, ℋ, ℯ and ℴ, years before the rest of the alphabet, in a different block, so on some devices they come from a slightly different font.

Can I use cursive in my Instagram username?

No. Usernames only accept plain letters, numbers, full stops and underscores. Your name, bio, captions and comments can be cursive.

Does cursive work with numbers and accents?

Script letters exist for A to Z only. Numbers, punctuation and most accented letters stay as they are.
