Gridwork template
Invoice tracker spreadsheet template
List each invoice with its number, client, the date you sent it and the amount. The due date is 30 days on, the status says whether it’s paid, waiting or late, and the totals add up what’s owed and what’s late with SUMIF and SUMIFS.

The formulas it uses
- D2:
=C2+30gives 31 Oct 2026. - G2:
=IF(F2,"Paid",IF(D2<TODAY(),"Late","Waiting"))gives Paid. IF: one value if a test is true, another if not; IF: one value if a test is true, another if not; TODAY: today’s date. - E7:
=SUMIF(F2:F5,FALSE,E2:E5)gives $3,770.00. SUMIF: adds the cells that match. - E9:
=SUMIFS(E2:E5,F2:F5,FALSE,D2:D5,"<"&TODAY())gives $0.00. SUMIFS: adds the cells where every condition matches; TODAY: today’s date.
Tips
- Change +30 in the Due column to match your payment terms.
- Tick Paid when the money arrives: the status and the totals change at once.
- For sending invoices themselves, Yuzool’s Invoice app makes the PDF.
Questions
How does it know an invoice is late?
The Status formula says Paid when the box is ticked; otherwise Late when the due date is before TODAY(), else Waiting. It updates each day by itself.
How is the late total worked out?
SUMIFS adds the amounts that are both unpaid and past their due date, two conditions at once.
Can I open it in Excel or Google Sheets?
Yes: in Gridwork, More then Save as Excel (.xlsx) keeps the formulas. It’s free, with no account, and the file stays on your device until you save it.
