Lingo Path
About Lingo Path
Lingo Path is a free language learning app with short, playful lessons on a winding path, guided by Paco the fox. Learn Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil) or Korean from English, or learn English from Spanish or Japanese. Lessons mix word tiles, listening, speaking, typing and matching, with streaks, hearts, XP, weekly leagues and quests to keep you going.
Which courses does Lingo Path offer?
Nine courses: Spanish, Japanese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil) and Korean for English speakers, plus English for Spanish speakers and English for Japanese speakers. Spanish and Japanese are the largest; the other seven are newer and marked beta.
Is Lingo Path free?
Yes. All nine courses are free, with no ads, no account and no sign-up. Your progress, streak and XP are saved only in this browser, and you can back them up to a file. Lingo Plus is an optional one-time upgrade ($4.99) that adds unlimited hearts, mistakes practice and Legendary levels.
What kinds of exercises are there?
Word tiles, picking the right meaning, listening, speaking, typing, fill-in-the-blank and matching pairs, plus checkpoints, short stories and a timed Match Madness practice round.
Can I learn more than one language?
Yes. Switch course from the course chip at the top of the path. Each course keeps its own progress, while your streak, XP and gems are shared.
How do streaks and leagues work?
Finish at least one lesson a day to extend your streak. XP you earn counts toward a weekly league against practice rivals simulated on your device; finish near the top to be promoted to the next tier. You can also share a Friend Streak link.
