How to make an online party invitation, with RSVP

An online party invitation is a page you send as a link: the when and where, a map, what’s happening and a way to reply. Website Maker’s Birthday party template makes one free with a countdown and RSVP by WhatsApp, so replies land in the chat you already use, with no account and no app for your guests.

Why a page instead of a message

A group message with the details gets buried under replies. A page keeps everything in one place: the start and end times, the address with a map, whether grown-ups should stay, food, parking and the RSVP. You send one link, guests open it in their browser, and nobody has to install anything or make an account.

What to put on it

  • Whose party, and what for, in the big welcome.
  • When it starts and ends, so parents know when to collect.
  • Where, with a map and Open in Maps.
  • The plan: games, cake, a bouncy castle, a theme or fancy dress.
  • Good to know: food, allergies, presents, parking, what to wear.
  • Reply by a date, and how many are coming.

Make it in a few minutes

  1. Open the Birthday party template.
  2. Change the name and age in the big welcome, and the countdown’s date and time.
  3. Change the plan’s three points and their emoji.
  4. Open the RSVP block and type your WhatsApp number with its country code. Set the most people in one reply (four suits a child with parents and a sibling).
  5. In the RSVP’s Add to calendar, check the date, the times and the place.
  6. Put the venue’s address in the map, then tap Share and send the link to your group.

Make it look like a party

Pick a colour that matches the theme, an emoji for the browser tab, and a big picture behind the welcome if you have one. The Bold and Blush themes (Pro) are bright; the free Clean theme with a pink or purple colour works well too.

After you send it

Replies arrive as WhatsApp messages such as “RSVP: Sam is coming (3 people). Food: no nuts”. Nothing is kept by Yuzool, so keep your own count. If plans change, edit the page and send the new link: the old link still shows the old page, because the page lives inside its link. With Website Maker Pro’s short link, press Update and the same link shows the change.

Questions

Do guests need WhatsApp?

Only to reply by WhatsApp. You can choose email or a text message instead in the RSVP block.

Can I print it too?

Yes. Print an invitation makes an A5 or 5 × 7 inch card with a QR code that opens the page.

Is there a limit on guests?

No. Each reply can be for up to ten people; you set the most.

Is it free?

Yes, all of it. Website Maker Pro ($2.99 once) adds more pages, more themes and a short link.
