Free structured data syntax check

Check JSON-LD syntax before you ship.

Paste a JSON-LD object or an HTML fragment containing a JSON-LD script. The tool checks strict JSON parsing and summarizes declared types, without pretending that syntax alone proves search eligibility.

Validate a JSON-LD snippet

Input is parsed locally in your browser. For Google-supported rich-result eligibility and field guidance, use Google's Rich Results Test and documentation after this basic check.

Why validate structured-data syntax?

JSON-LD lets a page describe entities and relationships in a machine-readable format. A missing quote or trailing comma can make the JSON unparsable, so checking syntax is a useful step before deployment. This tool reports whether the input parses and lists any @type declarations it finds.

Syntax is only the first validation layer

Valid JSON does not mean the vocabulary is correct, the properties are appropriate, the data matches visible page content, or a rich result will appear. Search features have their own eligibility rules, which change over time and may depend on page quality, policy compliance and other signals. Do not add review ratings, prices, FAQs or business facts that are not genuinely visible and accurate.

A responsible structured-data workflow

  1. Choose a Schema.org type that accurately describes the page.
  2. Keep structured facts consistent with visible content and canonical URLs.
  3. Check syntax, then use the relevant official search-engine test.
  4. Review Search Console enhancement reports where available and monitor changes after deployment.
This checker is not an official Schema.org validator, Google's Rich Results Test or a ranking predictor.

Frequently asked questions

Does valid JSON-LD guarantee a Google rich result?

No. Syntax is one requirement, not a guarantee. Google decides eligibility and display based on supported types, page content, policies and other signals.

Can I paste a full HTML page?

Yes. If it includes a script with type application/ld+json, this tool attempts to parse the first such script. You can also paste a JSON object directly.

Does this validate every Schema.org property?

No. It checks JSON syntax and summarizes declared types only. Use an authoritative validator for vocabulary and search-feature requirements.
