Quick setup: prop the iPhone at roughly body height, keep your whole body in frame and leave a clear path around you. Never train next to a sharp edge or unstable stand.

Live feedback is most useful when it points to one change you can make immediately.
The three-signal form check
Where do the hands finish?
After every punch, notice whether the hand returns near the cheek and the opposite hand stays present. Look for a reliable home position.
Can you stop cleanly?
Pause after a one–two. If you need an extra step to catch yourself, make the combination smaller until the feet finish under the hips.
What happens after contact?
Add one small slip, cover or angle after a combination. Recovery is part of the technique, not an afterthought.
Can you stay available?
Exhale on the punch and breathe during the reset. If the breath disappears, lower the pace before adding volume.
Use the camera as a prompt
Camera-based feedback can help you notice patterns that are hard to feel, especially when you train alone. ShadowCoach processes the live analysis on the iPhone and can call attention to guard, chin, hip rotation, pace and punch balance.
It is deliberately not a verdict. Lighting, framing and movement can confuse any detector, and a qualified coach is still the right person for detailed technique or injury questions. Treat the cue as a prompt to look again.
Make the next round measurable
ShadowCoach counts common punches, measures speed and keeps a session breakdown so you can compare a real practice with your note—not just how tired you felt.
