A free time tracker for freelancers

Hours is a simple timesheet app that runs in your browser. Start the timer when you start work, pick the client and project, and stop it when you are done. Add time you forgot, see your week at a glance, and send unbilled hours to Invoice as ready-made invoice lines at each client's rate and currency. There is no account and nothing leaves your device.

How to track billable hours

1. Add a client with an hourly rate and currency. Projects can have their own rate.
2. Start the timer and say what you are working on. It keeps running if you close the tab.
3. Check your week: total hours, billable amount and a chart by day and client.
4. Send to Invoice when it's time to bill. The hours are marked as billed once the invoice is made.

Is Hours free?

Yes. The timer, manual entries, weekly totals, three clients, CSV export and sending hours to Invoice are free, with no ads and no sign-up. Hours Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($2.99) for unlimited clients and projects, and reports by client, project and week.

Can focus sessions count as billable time?

Yes. If you use Pomodoro or Focus Pirates, Hours can offer each finished focus session as billable time for a client, once you allow it.

Where is my data stored?

Only in this browser on your device. Back up to a file to keep a copy or move it to another device. Export a CSV timesheet for your accountant whenever you like.

Is there an app for Mac and iPhone?

Settle is Yuzool's native app for Mac and iPhone: timers, invoices and expenses from the same data, synced privately with iCloud, with native PDF invoices and payment follow-ups.
