A free receipt scanner that keeps receipts on your device

Receipts turns a photo of a receipt into an expense. The amount, shop and date are read on your device, you pick a category and say whether it's a business expense, and the photo is kept with it. Every receipt also shows up in Budget as spending, once you allow it, and business receipts can count in Invoice's profit and loss. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.

How to keep receipts for tax

1. Snap it at the till or choose a photo or scan. PDF Tools and Image Tools can send a scan here too.
2. Check what was read: the total, the shop and the date. Fix anything in a tap.
3. Tag business expenses so they're ready for your self-assessment or tax return.
4. Export the tax year as a CSV with totals by category for you or your accountant (Receipts Pro).

Are my receipt photos uploaded?

No. The photo is read on your device and stays in this browser. The text reader itself downloads once, like a font; your receipts never leave the device. You can switch reading off in Settings.

Is Receipts free?

Yes. Scanning and reading receipts, 20 receipts a month, categories, business tags, totals and backups are free, with no ads and no sign-up. Receipts Pro is an optional one-time upgrade ($2.99) for unlimited scans and CSV and tax-year export.

Is there an app for Mac and iPhone?

Settle is Yuzool's native app for Mac and iPhone: receipt scanning, expenses, timers and invoices from the same data, synced privately with iCloud.
