Why your files stay private

Most online PDF sites upload your document to their servers, process it there and send it back. That is a problem for contracts, bank statements, medical letters and anything else you would not hand to a stranger.

These tools work differently. The page you are reading includes everything needed to edit PDFs, and it runs on your own computer or phone. Your files are read from your device into this browser tab and the result is saved straight back. You can check: disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools still work.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Choose or drop all the PDFs you want to combine.
  2. Pages from each file are marked with a coloured dot so you can tell them apart.
  3. Drag pages into the order you want. Remove any you do not need.
  4. Press Download PDF. The merged file is saved to your downloads.

How to turn photos into a PDF

Add JPG or PNG images, such as photos of receipts, forms or handwritten notes. Each image becomes one page. Choose Fit page to image to keep each page the size of the photo, or A4 or US Letter for a document that prints neatly. iPhone photos in HEIC format need converting to JPG first; on an iPhone, sharing a photo to Files usually saves it as JPG.

About compression

PDF size usually comes from images. Compression here redraws every page as a JPEG at a lower resolution, which can shrink scanned documents and photo-heavy PDFs a great deal. It has trade-offs: text becomes part of an image, so it can no longer be selected, searched or read by screen readers, and links stop working. For a PDF that is mostly text, compression may make the file larger; if that happens, the tool says so and does not download it.

Questions

Is there a file size or page limit?

No fixed limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory, and a phone will handle less than a laptop. If a large file struggles, split it first.

Can it open password-protected PDFs?

No. Remove the password in the app that created the PDF, or the app you normally open it with, then add it here.

Does it keep links, bookmarks and form fields?

Merging, reordering, rotating, splitting and extracting copy whole pages, so their content and most links are kept. Document bookmarks (the outline) and some interactive form features may not carry over. Compression removes them.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no watermark and no daily limit.
