About Sunset Bay Mayor
You're the new mayor of Sunset Bay, the city every City Job lives in, and you run it a month at a time. You look down on the real city from above, Fare Frenzy's Sunset Bay: Downtown's towers and Clocktower Square, the Old Port's quays, the Seafront's beaches and pier, the family homes of Hill Lane, Castle Hill and the Airport. Every district has a face that tells you how happy its people are, and tap it to see why: the buses are full, there aren't many trees, the streets feel safe, there's plenty of work. Build what each place needs on its real streets and blocks: parks with trees and a pond, bus routes with buses running on them, bike lanes, street lights, a library, schools, a health centre, fire and police stations, a market, solar panels on the roofs, the sea wall, and festivals with fireworks over the bay. Set the taxes and fund the services, and answer the month's news: a storm heading for the Seafront, a heatwave, the tourists coming, a warehouse fire, a fun fair, a snow day. Then end the month and watch it play out on the city from morning to night, the windows lighting up by each district's mood, the storm rolling in and the new park popping up. After twelve months every district votes: win, and the next term is a little harder as the city grows. Twelve scenarios each have a problem and three stars to earn (Hill Lane wants a school, the storm season, the tourists are coming), and the Daily month is the same for everyone. The City Jobs are the city's services: every shift your family works at Fire Rescue, City Hospital, Sunset Bay Power or any of the fifteen jobs makes that service stronger here. Friendly for everyone from about eight up, with no real-world politics: the districts vote on your choices.
