What it is: a feedback layer for solo rounds. It is not a replacement for a qualified coach, but it can make the practice between coached sessions more measurable.

The camera sees a small set of movement signals while you train.
What it can do well
ShadowCoach recognises common punches, measures speed and pace, and can call attention to cues such as guard, chin and hip rotation. A cue is useful because it arrives while you can still change the next punch.
It also gives the round a memory: counts, balance and a session breakdown you can compare with one honest note afterwards. That turns “I think I was busy” into something more useful.
What it cannot do
Lighting, framing and movement can confuse any camera detector. The app cannot understand an injury, correct every technical detail or replace a person who knows your history. Use it as a prompt, keep the intensity sensible and ask a coach when the question is bigger than a screen.
Private by default
Live analysis runs on the iPhone. No account is required and ShadowCoach does not need a cloud video service to coach a round.
Start with one clear intention
Choose “return to guard”, “stay balanced” or “keep the chin tucked”. Download ShadowCoach and let the next round be the experiment.
