Boxing round timer and interval timer with a real bell
A free round timer for boxing, MMA, Muay Thai, Tabata, HIIT and EMOM. Set rounds, work and rest, get a ring bell at the start and end of every round, a clapper warning before the end, and an optional spoken round number. It runs in your browser, works full screen and needs no sign-up.
How to use it
- Pick a preset or set your own rounds, work and rest times.
- Press Start. A get-ready countdown gives you time to put gloves on.
- The bell rings at the start and end of every round. A clapper sounds before the end of the round, and short beeps count you out of rest.
- Use Full screen and prop your phone or laptop where you can see it. The screen stays on while the timer runs.
Keyboard: Space to start or pause, S to skip, R to reset. On a phone, keep the timer visible: browsers slow down hidden tabs, so bells can be late if you switch apps. Turn your phone's silent switch off to hear the bell.
Round lengths by sport

Rules vary by organisation, level and country, so check your own competition rules. For training, many gyms run continuous three-minute rounds with a one-minute rest, or 30 seconds of rest when conditioning.
Interval formats
| Format | Pattern | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Tabata | 8 × 20 s work, 10 s rest (4 minutes) | A short, very hard finisher |
| HIIT 40/20 | 10 × 40 s work, 20 s rest | Circuits, bag work, bodyweight moves |
| HIIT 30/30 | 10 × 30 s work, 30 s rest | Beginners, sprint intervals |
| EMOM | A new set every minute on the minute | Strength and skill practice |
For EMOM, set work to one minute and rest to zero. Do your set when the bell rings and rest for whatever is left of the minute.
A simple shadowboxing session
- Rounds 1–2: loose movement, jab and footwork only.
- Rounds 3–4: one-two and three-punch combinations, moving between them.
- Rounds 5–6: add defence: slip, roll and return fire.
- Final 10 seconds of each round: fast straight punches when the clapper sounds.

Questions
Why can I not hear the bell on my iPhone?
Check the silent switch and the volume, then press Start again. Browsers only allow sound after you tap something on the page, which Start does.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, the timer and sounds run on your device without a connection.
