Some websites want your email, your attention or one more minute. Nothing Happens begins with the opposite joke: it is a pointless website, and yet it keeps finding little reasons for people to stay together in it.
The current experience layers small social actions onto the premise. You can notice who else is around, poke someone, join a shared bit of nonsense or see what the crowd is doing. None of it is meant to help you finish a task. That is the point—and the surprise is how a deliberately low-stakes place can feel more social than another optimized feed.
It is a tiny reminder that the web can still be a room, not just a queue of content. Drop in when you have a spare minute; leave when the joke has landed. No productivity system required.
