Every stitch count checked. We work every row of this pattern in every size with a stitch counter before publishing it, so the counts in brackets always add up.

Band

Cast on 20.

Row 1: Sl1 wyif, *k1, p1; rep from * to last 1 st, k1.

Rep this row until the piece measures 44 (50) cm from the cast-on edge: about 132 (150) rows in all, ending row 132 (150).

Bind off all sts.

Fold the band into a ring. For the twist, fold one end in half lengthwise, then fold the other end round it so they interlock, and sew through all the layers. Turn the seam to the inside.
