How to convert PNG to PDF
Turn screenshots, scans and diagrams saved as PNG into a PDF to print, email or upload. Several images become one PDF, one page each.
- Add your PNG images: drop them on the box above, or press Choose PNG images. Add as many as you like.
- Pick the page size and whether to combine them into one PDF. Set the quality for photos.
- Each file converts straight away on your device. The list shows the size before and after.
- Press Save all for the PDF, or Download next to a single image for its own PDF.
PNG vs PDF
| PNG | ||
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Screenshots, logos, text and graphics | Documents, printing, emailing and upload forms |
| Transparency | Yes | Pages are filled with a background colour |
| Compression | Lossless: exact pixels, larger files | Holds the images (JPG inside for photos, lossless for graphics) |
| Opens in | Everywhere | Everywhere |
Good to know
- PNG images are stored in the PDF without loss, so text in screenshots stays crisp.
- Transparent areas are filled with the background colour you choose (white unless you change it).
- Page size: Same as the image, A4 or US Letter. Pages follow the order the images were added.
- Nothing is uploaded. Your images are read, converted and saved in this browser tab, and camera details and GPS location are not copied into the new file.
Questions
How do I combine PNG screenshots into one PDF?
Add them all, keep "Combine all images into one PDF" ticked and press Save all.
Is quality lost?
No. PNG and other graphics go into the PDF losslessly. Photos (JPG, HEIC, WebP) go in as JPG at the quality you choose.
Why is the PDF large?
Lossless pages of big screenshots take space. Converting them to JPG first, or reducing their size in Compress & resize, makes a smaller PDF.
